Two members of the House of Representatives have defected from New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) to All Progressives Congress (APC).
Gatekeepers News reports that the notices of defection were read by Taiudeen Abbas, speaker of the house, during Thursday’s plenary.
The defectors, Kabiru Usman and Abdullahi Sani, represent the Rano/Bunkure/Kibiya and Karaye/Rogo federal constituencies in Kano State, respectively.
Both lawmakers cited unresolved internal conflicts within the NNPP as their reason for defecting.
