A grand reception was held on Saturday to welcome Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, into the ruling All Progressive Congress.
Gatekeepers News reports that the event was held at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, the state capital.
Vice-President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, and Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo were among the party members present at the event.
Governor Eno, who was elected under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023, officially defected to the APC in June.
