High Court in Lafia, Nasarawa State, has issued a sentence of death by hanging to Timileyin Ajayi for the murder of Salome Adaidu, who was a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
Gatekeepers News reports that Ajayi was found guilty of culpable homicide, which violates Section 221 of the Penal Code of Northern Nigeria, legislation that stipulates the death penalty for such offences.
Justice Simon Aboki delivered the judgment, confirming that Ajayi was responsible for the murder and dismemberment of Adaidu.
