Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, has approved the appointment of Abdulkadir Ahmed Mohamed as the new Head of the Civil Service of the state.

Gatekeepers News reports that this was announced in a statement by Abubakar Bawa, Director General of Media and Publicity,

Government House, Sokoto on Thursday.

According to the statement, Abdulkadir Ahmed Mohamed replaces Sulaiman S. Fulani Ahmadu, who has retired from active service.

The Governor also appointed Umar Babuga Oro, Faruku Labbo, Zainab Umar Dasuki, and Kamaludden Abubakar Lemi as special advisers.

In addition, Abubakar Mo’d Bello, Kabiru Labaran, and Dr. Sanusi Aliyu Binji were appointed as permanent secretaries, while Salihu Muh’d Galadanci and Kasimu Abdulkadir Sadiq were designated as acting permanent secretaries.

Further appointments include Bande Mohammed Rikina, Aliyu Mai Akwai, Mohammed Sahab, Kabiru Mohammed Sani, and Bashiru Haliru Dogon Daji as senior special assistants.

Bawa noted that the appointments take immediate effect.
