Chairman of BUA Group, Abdulsamad Rabiu, has congratulated the Super Eagles following their victory over Algeria, describing the performance as a boost to national pride.
Gatekeepers News reports that in a statement shortly after the match on Saturday, Rabiu praised the players for lifting the spirit of Nigerians and pledged financial rewards to motivate the team ahead of the semi-finals.
He announced a pledge of 500,000 dollars to the players if they win the semi-final, with an additional 50,000 dollars for every goal scored in the match.
The BUA Group chairman said, “To encourage you, 1 pledge USD $500,000 to the players upon winning the semi-final, with an additional USD $50,000 for every goal scored.”
Rabiu further promised that should the Super Eagles go on to win the final, he would reward the team with one million dollars, alongside 100,000 dollars for each goal scored in the final.
He said, “ Should you go on to win the final, ! further pledge USD $1,000,000, plus USD $100,000 for each goal scored in the final.”
He wished the players continued success as they push for the AFCON title, urging them to keep making Nigeria proud.
