Vanquish Industries Limited on Wednesday commissioned its newly developed Vanquisher Light Combat Vehicles, with the intention of strengthening efforts to combat insecurity across various parts of Nigeria.
Gatekeepers News reports that the commissioning marks a significant step toward enhancing the operational capacity of the nation’s security forces, as the locally manufactured vehicles are designed to provide improved protection, mobility, and adaptability in addressing evolving security challenges.
Speaking at the ceremony held in Kaduna, where 315 units of the Vanquisher were commissioned. the Managing Director of Vanquish Industries Limited Mr Zach Duwa
described the event as more than the unveiling of a new military platform, noting that it represents “vision, discipline, and the firm belief that African industry can design and manufacture world-class defence solutions.”
According to him, the Vanquisher Light Combat Vehicle was developed to address modern security challenges with a focus on reliability, advanced technology, and mission readiness. He explained that the vehicle was built on three core principles: protection, mobility, and adaptability.
Mr Duwa stated that the platform guarantees high levels of safety and survivability for personnel, offers agility and dependable performance across diverse terrains, and provides a modular structure capable of performing multiple mission roles.

Meanwhile, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt Gen Waidi Shaibu has commended Vanquish Industries Limited for embarking on local production of new combat vehicles.
Shaiibu , represented by the Chief of Policy and Plans Army Headquarters, Maj Gen Bamidele Alabi said the Kaduna-based manufacturer, Vanquish Industries Limited, demonstrated ingenuity in producing climate-friendly combat vehicles to boost military operations in parts of the country.
COAS therefore applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for initiating policies aimed at encouraging and strengthening indigenous manufacturers, particularly in the defence sector.
