Tinubu Meets Shettima – Governors – Promises Stronger Action On Insecurity

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured Nigerians that his administration will intensify efforts to tackle insecurity across the country.

Gatekeepers News reports that the President gave the assurance while hosting Vice President Kashim Shettima and 23 state Governors during a Sallah visit at his residence in Lagos.

During the meeting, Tinubu stressed the need for stronger collaboration between the federal and state governments to address security challenges. He urged the governors to show more care for vulnerable citizens, especially as economic pressures continue to affect many Nigerians.

The gathering also provided an opportunity for the governors to brief the President on the security situation in their respective states and discuss ways to improve safety nationwide.

Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to protecting lives and property, noting that insecurity remains a major concern for his administration. He said the government will continue to strengthen security agencies and adopt new strategies to restore peace across the country.

The meeting comes at a time when Nigeria is facing ongoing security challenges in different regions, with calls for more decisive action from the government.
