Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released 279 results from the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) that were earlier withheld over suspected examination malpractice.
Gatekeepers News reports that in a statement issued on Thursday, JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin said the decision followed investigations carried out by the board into activities reported at some examination centres.
According to the board, some candidates were cleared after investigators found no evidence linking them to malpractice, while results tied to confirmed cases of exam misconduct were cancelled.
Benjamin added that results from centres flagged by JAMB’s monitoring team for suspicious activities are still under review and would remain withheld pending the conclusion of investigations. He warned that any candidate found culpable after the probe would have their results cancelled.
JAMB advised affected candidates to recheck their results through the approved channels using the same phone number used during registration.
The examination body had earlier announced the release of over 1.26 million UTME results conducted on April 17 and 18, alongside results from exams held on April 16 and April 20.
