NNPCL Revenue Climbs To N4.97tn In April

Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) recorded a significant increase in revenue in April 2026, generating N4.971 trillion, according to its latest monthly operational report.

Gatekeepers News reports that the figure represents a sharp rise from the N2.774 trillion revenue posted in March, reflecting improved performance across the company’s operations.

The report also showed that profit after tax rose to about N748 billion during the month under review, while crude oil and condensate production averaged around 1.61 million barrels per day. Natural gas production remained strong, underscoring the company’s efforts to boost output and improve operational efficiency.

NNPCL said key energy infrastructure projects continued to make progress, including the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline and the Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben (OB3) Gas Pipeline. The company noted that ongoing investments in oil and gas assets are expected to support higher production levels and strengthen revenue generation.

The state-owned energy company has in recent months reported steady improvements in its financial performance. Its March 2026 report showed revenue of N2.774 trillion and a profit after tax of N276 billion, indicating that April’s figures marked a substantial month-on-month increase.

The latest revenue growth comes as NNPCL seeks to expand production, improve profitability and enhance contributions to government revenue amid ongoing reforms in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
