Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has reportedly suspended six students over alleged involvement in recent protests on campus as well as the unauthorized release of official institutional information.
Gatekeepers News reports that according to available reports, the affected students were sanctioned after internal investigations linked them to actions considered to have disrupted academic activities and violated the university’s communication and disciplinary guidelines.
The management said the move was necessary to maintain order and protect the integrity of official information within the institution.
The university, however, has not publicly released the identities of the suspended students or given full details of the specific information allegedly leaked.
It was gathered that the disciplinary action follows rising concerns over the circulation of sensitive internal updates and student-led protests within the campus community.
LAUTECH authorities maintain that the institution remains committed to discipline and academic stability, stressing that any act capable of undermining university regulations would be treated in line with established procedures.
