Social media personality and relationship coach Blessing CEO has spoken publicly about the fraud cases filed against her, revealing that she is currently being held at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos while legal proceedings continue.

Gatekeepers News reports that in a statement shared after her recent court appearances, Blessing CEO said she had been remanded in Kirikiri prison and expressed confidence that she would eventually clear her name. Her comments came amid ongoing legal battles involving separate allegations of ₦36 million and ₦69 million fraud.

Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had earlier arraigned her before the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, over an alleged ₦36 million fraud. Prosecutors accused her of obtaining the money from a complainant under the pretext of securing a six-bedroom duplex in Lekki, Lagos, an arrangement the EFCC said was fraudulent. She was also accused of converting the funds to personal use.

During the proceedings, her lawyer informed the court that ₦24 million had already been refunded to the complainant and sought time to settle the outstanding balance.

However, the prosecution argued that the matter was a criminal case involving the Federal Government and should proceed irrespective of any private settlement discussions.

Blessing CEO pleaded not guilty to the charges. While she was granted bail in the ₦36 million case, she remained in custody due to a separate ₦69 million fraud charge, leading to her transfer to Kirikiri pending further court proceedings.

The case has continued to attract public attention, with the influencer maintaining her innocence and insisting that she will defend herself against all allegations in court.
