Kaduna Branch of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has commended Governor Uba Sani for his efforts to strengthen the judiciary and improve justice delivery in the state.
Gatekeepers News reports that in a statement signed by the branch chairman, Baba Lawal Aliyu, the association praised the massive renovation and rehabilitation of the High Court complex, describing the intervention as a boost to the working environment of judicial officers.
NBA also commended the Kaduna State Government for providing 40 official vehicles to judges serving at the High Court, Shari’ah Court of Appeal and Customary Court of Appeal.
According to the association, the vehicles would improve the mobility and overall performance of judicial officers, while contributing to more effective administration of justice.
NBA further welcomed the restoration of robe allowances for Magistrates, including the payment in 2025 of outstanding allowances from 2024.
It said the measures demonstrated the government’s recognition of the judiciary as a critical institution for upholding the rule of law and ensuring effective justice delivery.
However, the association appealed to Governor Sani to extend similar support to lower courts, particularly through the provision of official vehicles and improved facilities for Magistrates and other judicial officers.
NBA said continued investment across all levels of the judiciary would enhance access to justice, reduce delays in court proceedings and strengthen public confidence in the justice system.
