Nigerian music stars Davido, Omah Lay and Rema have been announced among the headline acts for the 2027 edition of the Afro Nation festival in Portugal.
Gatekeepers News reports that the festival is scheduled to hold from June 9 to 11, 2027, at Praia da Rocha beach in Portimão, Algarve, Portugal.
The organisers announced the first wave of performers on Wednesday, with Davido, Omah Lay and Rema featuring prominently on the lineup.
Congolese singer Fally Ipupa is also billed as one of the major acts for the festival, alongside Nigerian artistes Victony and Odeal.
Other performers announced include Shenseea, Valiant, Rayvanny, Bamby and Miimii KDS, while French-Congolese singer GIMS is listed as a special guest.
The festival will also feature amapiano acts such as Kabza De Small, TxC, Dlala Thukzin, Young Stunna and Zee Nxumalo.
The 2027 edition will open with a pre-festival party on June 8, followed by the main event from June 9 to 11 and a closing party on June 12.
Ticket pre-sale is scheduled to begin on September 29, with general sales opening on September 30.
Afro Nation Portugal was launched in 2019 and has since featured some of Africa’s biggest music acts at its annual event.
