Super Falcons defender, Ashleigh Plumptre has received a warm welcome from her teammates in Al-Ittihad as she trained with them for the first time.
Gatekeepers News reports that the 25-year-old was linked up with the Saudi Arabia Professional Football Women’s League side this week.
The Falcon star joined the Tigers on a free transfer after leaving Leicester City at the end of last season.
Plumptre turned down offers from several English clubs including Manchester United to play in the Middle East.
It is the second time she will be playing outside England following a stint in the United States of America with LA Galaxy in 2019.
The centre-back has been assigned jersey number 22 by her new club.
