Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, South-South Nigeria, has congratulated Shaka Momodu and other promoted editors Of THISDAY And ARISE News.
Gatekeepers News reports that Momodu has been promoted Editor of THISDAY Newspaper; Davidson Iriekpen as Editor of THISDAY, the Sunday Newspaper; and Goddy Egene also made the newspaper’s Group News Editor.
Okowa’s congratulatory message was contained in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Olisa Ifeajika, in Asaba, the State’s capital.
In a similar vein, the Governor congratulated Emmanuel Efeni on his promotion to Deputy Managing Director; Ohi Odiai Deputy Director of News (Lagos) ARISE News; and Christian Ogodo as Managing Editor of ARISE News.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Governor lauded the board of THISDAY and ARISE group for finding the officers worthy of the new responsibilities, saying that their promotions were well-deserved.
“On behalf of the government and people of Delta, I congratulate Mr Shaka Momodu, Davidson Iriekpen, Goddy Egene, Emmanuel Efeni, Ohi Odiai, Christian Ogodo and all other executives of THISDAY and ARISE group on their well-deserved promotions.
“Over the years, they have by dint of hard work and conscientious dedication kept both media brands moving from strength to strength.
“They have continued to promote the kernel of journalism by keeping Nigerians and the rest of the world abreast with the most timely and educating news from all parts of Nigeria and the world.
