Obaseki Felicitates Oba of Benin And Edo People On Emoro Traditional Festival 

Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has conveyed his warm wishes to the Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty, Omo N’ Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, and the people of Benin on the occasion of the Emoro Traditional Festival.

Gatekeepers News reports that in a statement, Governor Obaseki expressed his hope that the traditional festival would bring forth increased blessings and prosperity to the revered Oba, the government, and the citizens of Edo State.

The governor remarked, “I congratulate His Royal Majesty, Omo N’ Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, the Oba of Benin, and all Benin people at home and in the Diaspora, on the celebration of the Emoro Traditional Festival.

“All these years, our people, residents, and our neighbours have continued to live in peace and harmony with one another in an atmosphere that has nurtured sustainable socio-cultural and economic growth and development.

“It is in line with this progressive trajectory of our people that the age-long festival has been revived to further foster cultural growth and the spirit of oneness and togetherness.”

Obaseki added, “It is my prayer that the Emoro Traditional Festival brings forth more blessings and prosperity to our Royal Father, the Government and people of Edo State.
