Novak Djokovic has defeated Rafael Nadal in the French Open semi-finals.
Gatekeepers News reports that World No 1 Novak Djokovic has ended Rafael Nadal’s French Open dominance with a four-set win to reach his sixth final at Roland Garros.
The 13-time champion who was heading for his 14th title has just witnessed his second Djokovic defeat at the Roland Garros.
The first was at the 2015 quarter-finals, where he sealed a famous 3-6 6-3 7-6 (7-4) 6-2 victory against Nadal in front of stunned spectators on Court Philippe Chatrier.
Djokovic’s victory also extended his advantage in the head-to-head with the Spaniard, having claimed his 30th win in their men’s record 58th meeting.
However, Djokovic will take on Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final on Sunday in what will be his 29th championship match at the Slams.
