Nigeria on Wednesday recorded 251 new COVID-19 cases, as total infections rose to 208,404.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the disclosure in its daily update on the Coronavirus outbreak.
NCDC said the fresh cases were reported from 14 States; FCT-78, Lagos-46, Kaduna-27, Rivers-21, Imo-16, Edo-13, Delta-12, Plateau-10, Niger-7, Bauchi-6, Kwara-6, Akwa Ibom-4, Benue-3 and Nasarawa-2.
The Center for Disease Control added that the report includes: “State with zero case reported: Sokoto.”
Also, 187 COVID-19 patients recovered and were discharged from various isolation centres in the country, while 5 persons died of complications.
So far, 196,123 recoveries and 2,761 deaths have been recorded in Nigeria.
