Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has received the Queen’s Baton for the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Gatekeepers News reports that Osinbajo on Saturday received the Queen’s Baton ahead of the 2022 Commonwealth Games, scheduled to hold in Birmingham, England.
The Vice President wrote on his verified Facebook page, “Before proceeding to tour 15 other countries in Africa, I had the honour, while representing President Muhammadu Buhari, to receive the Queen’s Baton today.
“In preparation for the 2022 Commonwealth Games, the Queen’s Baton Relay had arrived Nigeria first, as part of its tour of Africa.”
The event was also graced by the Federal Minister of Youth and Sports, Sunday Dare, and the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Catriona Laing.
