Former chairman of the U.S Joint Chiefs of Staff, Secretary of State, and National Security Adviser Colin Powell is dead.
Gatekeepers News reports that Powell died on Monday at the age of 84.
His family broke the news of his death that the U.S’s top soldier died of complications from Covid-19.
He was fully vaccinated and was treated at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, his family added.
Powell, who in four decades of public life served as the nation’s top soldier, diplomat and national security adviser.
His speech at the United Nations in 2003 helped pave the way for the United States to go to war in Iraq.
the U.S’s top soldier later called his UN speech a “blot” that will forever be on his record, adding that the information he pushed out was wrong.
