The Nigerian Senate has expanded the scope of citizenship by registration.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Senate made the expansion during the constitution amendment plenary session.
In the constitution, a foreign woman married to a Nigerian man gets automatic rights to become a Nigerian by registration.
This constitutional right has now been extended to a foreign man married to a Nigerian Woman.
