Nigeria’s D’Tigress will face France in FIBA World Cup later this year.
Gatekeepers News reports that D’Tigress have been drawn against France, Australia, Canada, Japan, and Serbia in Group B of the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup campaign in 2022.
The draw which was held in Sydney on Thursday placed Otis Hughley’s girls against a list of teams who are all ranked in the top ten of the FIBA world ranking.

Although Nigeria are number 14 in the world, they are rated first in the continent. They will face Australia, Canada, France, Japan, and Serbia are ranked number three, four, six, eight, and ten in the world, respectively.
The best four teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals.
The FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup is billed to begin from September 22 to October 1 in Sydney, Australia.
