Gabriel Jesus And Oleksandr Zinchenko Shine As Arsenal Win At Start Of 2022/2023 Premier League Season

New season of Premier League started in styles on Friday night as Gabriel Martinelli netted Arsenal’s and the season’s first goal at Selhurst Park.

Gatekeepers News reports that Arsenal’s two signings from City were not left out in the fun as Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko demonstrated their skills on the pitch.

Although Jesus didn’t just thrive as many predicted, he dominated as the main man in the Arsenal attack. His shots were however not fruitful till the final whistle.

Zinchenko on the other hand looked lively and had an early shot blocked as Arsenal quickly raised the tempo.

His relevance was, however, pronounced in the opening goal after Bukayo Saka’s inswinger found him in acres of space and he headed the ball back across goal where Martinelli was on hand to nod it into the net.

Although Palace coach Patrick Viera threw everyone forward for the last 15 minutes, the Gunners doubled their lead after Saka’s cross was deflected into his own goal by Guehi in the 85th to seal the 3-point for the away side.

“We started really sharp … to win here you need to suffer,” Arteta told Sky Sports at the end of the Match.

“We’ve done it and that’s part of the mentality that we want to build, to come to these places and find a way to win.”
