Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Usman Alkali Baba has congratulated the newly elected Chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Mogaji Ibraheem Olaniyan and the newly appointed Director-General of Imo Broadcasting Corporation, Ify Onyegbule.
Gatekeepers News reports that the IGP’s congratulatory message was contained in a statement signed on Wednesday by the Force’s Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
The IGP tasked the newly elected officials of the PCRC with entrenching the community policing doctrine in Nigeria, particularly in urban areas where communal living is almost nonexistent.
Similarly, the IGP while reiterating that Onyegbule’s appointment is proof of her strength and dedication to duty, assures of the commitment of the Force to an improved partnership with the management of Imo Broadcasting Corporation, under her watch, for a balanced reportage to ensure a safe, secured and peaceful Imo State in particular, and the nation in general.
The Inspector-General of Police wished the duo and their teams all the best even as they buckle up for the task ahead of them.
He urged them to put their best foot forward towards ensuring they achieve their respective organizational goals.
