Dr Asue Ighodalo the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming governorship election in Edo State has enjoined members of the Nigerian Automobile Technicians Association (NATA) to uphold family values by taking the issue of parenting seriously.
Gatekeepers News reports that Dr Ighodalo made this remarks when he paid a courtesy visit to the body at the Auchi Mechanic village over the weekend.
He tasked members of (NATA) to have time for their core family duties by spending quality time with them. He noted that the future of the state belongs to the children and they therefore needed to be guided at all times.
“Make una no forget una children as una dey find money o. Dey try spend time with your family so that you go fit guide them well make dem do well.”
“If you do your own make I do my own for our family to better, the community, the society, the state and the country go better because na house we go for start the better work.” He said.
Dr. Ighodalo equally enjoined them to always show interest in the affairs of government and responsibly hold them to account. He noted that it is the responsibility of government to perform positively by ensuring that the mandate they have been given is upheld and encouraged the body to do well to write or issue public statements whenever they had need to so that government will be on its toes.
The PDP standard bearer harped on the need for collective responsibility noting that when everyone stayed on the path of truth and did his/her duty in the collective assignment of Nation building, everything would take a turn for the better in the country.
