The Association of Voice Over Artists (AVOA), under the leadership of Segun Arinze, has partnered with Sulaiman Yusuf, the Chairman of Surulere local government, to provide a three-day master class programme called ‘Voice Fest’.

Gatekeepers News reports that he programme, which is aimed at developing young talents in voice acting, will take place from April 24 to 26 and will cover training in English, Yoruba, and pidgin English.

The highlight of this initiative is that the training is offered free of charge, as the Surulere Local Government chairman is keen on introducing it to the grassroots.

The event,  endorsed by Dr. Lekan Fadolapo, the Director General of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), will be graced by distinguished personalities such as Desmond Elliot, a well-known Nollywood actor and lawmaker.

“As part of our drive to impact and build capacity as well encourage budding Voice Over talents, The Association of Voice Over Artistes AVOA Nigeria are partnering Surulere Local Government led by its amiable Executive Chairman Alh. Bamidele Yusuf Sulaiman to train young talents.

”The 3 day Masterclass and empowerment programme is tagged VOICEFEST a voice workshop series organised by AVOA Nigeria will hold from 24th – 26th April at the Auditorium inside the Surulere local Government New Complex. The President of AVOA Mr Segun Arinze says the Masterclass is very timely as young and talented voice over Artistes are yearning for trainings like this.

“He also said the training is free as the Surulere Local Government chairman wants to bring it to the grassroots.

“The Masterclass will be in English, Yoruba and Pidgin English.The DG of the advertising regulatory Council of Nigeria ARCON Dr Lekan Fadolapo has also endorsed the training saying that it will surely help young talents. Hon Desmond Elliot will also be attending and some advertising gurus.”
