BBNaija Scraps Custodian Challenge – Restore Immunity For HOH

Organisers of Big Brother Naija (BBN) season nine (9) have made some changes to the rules for ‘No Loose Guard’ edition.

Gatekeepers News reports that at the beginning of the show, custodian challenge was introduced and held every Sunday after evictions.

Housemates who won the challenge were granted immunity for the week and had the power to influence nominations for possible eviction.

Head of house (HoH) for the week was decided through balloting, without the power of immunity. They were only allowed to decide the punishment for any housemate found wanting for the week.

The changes were announced during Sunday’s live show by the host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

Ebuka revealed that Biggie has abolished the custodian challenge and the HoH ballot.

Housemates were also stripped of power to vote for eviction from the bottom four pairs.

The winners of HOH challenge will now be granted automatic immunity for the week but with no power to save and replace housemates.

Duos will nominate each other for eviction while viewers now have ultimate power to evict by voting.

Recall that the ‘No Loose Guard’ edition will run for 71 days and will end on October 6. The duo that emerges winner of the edition will go home with a cash prize of N100 million.
