Senate President Godswill Akpabio has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 73rd birthday.
Gatekeepers News reports that in a congratulatory message he signed, Akpabio described Tinubu as one of Nigeria’s greatest and most audacious leaders.
The Senate President praised Tinubu for his unwavering commitment to democratic principles, his bold leadership, and his role in shaping Nigeria’s political landscape.
He said, “Your Excellency, on behalf of my family, constituents, the Senate, and the entire National Assembly, I wish you a happy 73rd birthday. Today marks a significant milestone in your life, and I am honoured to celebrate with you.”
Akpabio commended Tinubu’s role in the formation of All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2013, noting that his efforts were pivotal in challenging and ending the dominance of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015.
He added, “There’s no doubt that your support was instrumental in the victory of Muhammadu Buhari and the APC in 2015 and 2019.”
The Senate President also highlighted Tinubu’s leadership since assuming office in 2023, stating that his economic reforms and governance have placed Nigeria in safe hands.
He added, “As the President of Nigeria in the last two years, you have demonstrated astute leadership, advocating for democratic values and bold economic reforms that have started to yield dividends. With you in the driving seat, Nigeria is in safe hands, and Nigerians could not have made a better choice in 2023.”
Atiku further prayed for President Tinubu’s continued wisdom, strength, and good health.
He said, “As you mark this special day in this period of Ramadan, I pray that the Almighty Allah grants you continued wisdom, strength, and good health to steer our nation towards greater heights.”
The Senate President added, “Please accept my warmest congratulations and happy birthday, Mr. President.”
