National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo have revealed plans to launch a new socio-political group designed to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

Gatekeepers News reports that the initiative, named Team Nigeria Project (TNP), is aimed at enhancing citizens’ participation in governance across the country.

Speaking at a press briefing in Lagos on Wednesday, Olamilekan Pedro, spokesman for the initiative, noted that the group’s primary objective is to mobilise support for Tinubu’s continued leadership.

He said, “Under President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, since 2023, Nigeria has seen an economic turnaround.”

“Tough but necessary decisions, like removing the fuel subsidy, have brought about positive changes. Today, our IGR is growing, and states are receiving more funds from the federal government for development.”

“The Naira is stabilising, local refineries are operating, and small businesses are thriving thanks to better infrastructure like roads and power.”

“Investments in agriculture have boosted food security, and we no longer rely on food imports. Nigeria’s highways are in great shape, and insecurity has significantly reduced, allowing citizens to live in peace.”

According to the spokesman; the achievements under Tinubu’s administration justify another term in office.

Pedro noted that various directorates have been set up to mobilise support from all Nigerians, particularly women and youth, for Tinubu’s re-election.

The official launch of the initiative will take place in May in Abuja. It will be attended by top officials from All Progressives Congress (APC).
