The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the AFCON Morocco 2025 Local Organising Committee have announced that football fans travelling to Morocco for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations will be eligible for free electronic visas.

Gatekeepers Newreports that CAF confirmed the development in a statement on its website on Friday, noting that supporters from countries that normally require a visa to enter Morocco will benefit from the new policy.

“Electronic visas to enter Morocco — obtained through the YALLA app — are now free of charge for supporters attending the competition, which runs from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026,” the statement read.

The measure comes amid rising global demand for Africa’s premier football event, with more fans securing tickets through CAF’s online platform.

CAF said a Fan ID is compulsory for entry into all stadiums and official fan zones.

“CAF supporters can apply for both the Fan ID and e-visa in one place inside the YALLA app, streamlining travel and stadium access,” it added.

According to the football body, the Fan ID form and e-visa request can be completed seamlessly within the app, providing a faster, easier and more secure experience for both international and local fans.

To apply, supporters must download the YALLA app on Google Play or the App Store, or visit the YALLA website, then fill out the Fan ID form and, if required, the e-visa application. Once approved, fans can purchase match tickets on CAF’s ticketing portal.
