Segun Tomori has declared his intention to contest for the Oshodi-Isolo constituency II seat in the House of Representatives in the 2027 general election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress.

Gatekeepers News reports that Tomori said his decision to run for office was shaped by Nigeria’s democratic history, particularly the events surrounding the June 12, 1993 presidential election and its annulment, which influenced his early interest in politics.

He noted that his political ideology was further shaped by pro-democracy figures such as Bola Ahmed Tinubu and members of the National Democratic Coalition, whose roles during the struggle for democracy inspired him to join active politics.

Tomori, who previously served as special assistant on media to the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, said he has accumulated over a decade of experience working across the National Assembly and the executive arm of government.

He revealed that his campaign will be driven by what he described as the “SET” agenda: Service, Excellence, and Trust alongside an eight-point manifesto focused on community health, support for women and vulnerable groups, youth and sports development, education, and improved electricity supply in Oshodi-Isolo constituency II.

The aspirant added that his goal is to deliver purposeful legislation that will improve the welfare of his constituents and contribute to national development, stressing that he intends to bring fresh ideas and youthful energy into governance.
