The All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled a revised timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections, with adjustments to dates for screening, primaries, appeals and other internal party processes.
Gatekeepers News reports that the party also released designated bank accounts for the purchase of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms.
The notice, issued on Monday, was signed by the National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, and separately confirmed by the National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
According to the party, the timetable was drawn in line with the 1999 Constitution (as amended), the Electoral Act 2026, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) revised timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections.
Under the revised schedule, sale of forms will run from April 25 to May 2, 2026, while submission of completed forms closes on May 4.
Screening of aspirants is slated for May 6 to May 9, covering State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, governorship and presidential hopefuls in phases.
Screening appeals for State House of Assembly and House of Representatives aspirants will hold from May 12 to May 13.
Primary elections are scheduled to commence on May 15 with House of Representatives primaries, followed by Senate, State Houses of Assembly, governorship and presidential primaries, ending on May 23.
The ruling party also announced the cost of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for aspirants seeking various offices.
State House of Assembly aspirants are to pay ₦1 million for Expression of Interest and ₦5 million for Nomination forms, while House of Representatives aspirants will pay ₦1 million and ₦9 million respectively.
Senate aspirants are to pay ₦3 million for Expression of Interest and ₦17 million for Nomination forms, while governorship hopefuls will pay ₦10 million and ₦40 million respectively.
For the presidential ticket, aspirants are expected to pay ₦30 million for Expression of Interest and ₦70 million for Nomination forms.
The APC also said female aspirants, youths and persons with disabilities would pay only the Expression of Interest fee and 50 per cent of the Nomination fee for any position.
The party directed all payments to be made into its designated accounts at Union Bank Plc (0239691733), UBA Plc (1025098328) and Zenith Bank Plc (1014008105).
