Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested a woman suspected of collaborating with Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) in Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State.

Gatekeepers News reports that the suspect was reportedly intercepted at a military checkpoint during a security operation in the area.

According to reports, the woman is believed to have been working as an informant and logistics aide for insurgents operating around the Lake Chad region. Security sources said preliminary investigations linked her to movements and activities of suspected terrorists within parts of northern Borno.

The arrest comes amid intensified military operations against Boko Haram and ISWAP in the north-east. In recent months, troops have recorded several arrests of suspected collaborators, recruiters and intelligence couriers linked to the terror groups in Borno and neighbouring states.

Operation Hadin Kai has continued to step up surveillance and checkpoint operations across communities affected by insurgency as the military seeks to disrupt the supply and intelligence networks of the terrorists.
