Gatekeepers News reports that the attackers reportedly stormed the area and opened fire on residents, causing panic and forcing many people to flee for safety.
According to reports, the assailants also abducted three residents during the raid before escaping into nearby forested areas. Local sources said the attack occurred despite ongoing efforts by security agencies to curb banditry and protect vulnerable communities across the state.
The latest incident adds to a series of violent attacks that have affected several communities in Katsina in recent months. Residents have repeatedly called for stronger security measures as armed groups continue to carry out killings, kidnappings, and cattle rustling in parts of the state.
