Aiyedatiwa Appoints 1000+ Aides In Ondo Governance Shake-Up

Lucky Aiyedatiwa, governor of Ondo State, has appointed 1,003 aides and nominated a commissioner as part of efforts to strengthen governance and improve service delivery in the state.

Gatekeepers Newreports that the appointments comprise one commissioner, three special advisers, 90 senior special assistants (SSAs) and 910 special assistants (SAs).

In a statement issued on Thursday, Ebenezer Adeniyan, the governor’s chief press secretary (CPS), said Aiyedatiwa nominated Taibat Yemi Oloruntoba from Akoko North-West Local Government Area as commissioner for special duties.

Adeniyan said Oloruntoba’s name would be forwarded to the Ondo State House of Assembly for consideration and approval.

According to the CPS, the appointments were made “towards strengthening governance and enhancing service delivery to the people of Ondo State.”

The three special advisers appointed by the governor are Abimbola Fajolu from Ileoluji-Okeigbo LGA, who will oversee environment; Ade Adeniyi from Ondo West LGA, special adviser on rural and community development; and Muyiwa Ogunyemi from Akoko North-East LGA, special adviser on transport.

Among the 90 senior special assistants appointed are Toyin Ogungbure, SSA on women mobilisation (South); Bidemi Obayangbon, SSA on forestry; Gboluge Olufunmi Alex, SSA on community engagement (South); Akin Adeniyi, SSA on community engagement (Central); Obayan Theophilus Ayodeji, SSA on community engagement (North); Kelvin Solomon, SSA on students affairs; Adeolu Iwakun, SSA on volunteer services; and Samson Job Bazuaye, SSA on oil and gas.

Others include Fade Ojamomi, SSA on youth empowerment and job creation; Sam Adepoju, SSA on public engagement; Samad Orijeminiyi, SSA on scholarship; Victor Omodara, SSA on grassroots mobilisation; Abayomi Adefolalu, SSA on photography; Abdukadiri Adenoyi, Nzuoma Egbulefu and Garba Goni, all appointed as SSAs on non-indigenes.

Adeniyan said the complete list of senior special assistants and special assistants would be released later.

The CPS added that all the appointments take immediate effect.
