Equatorial Guinea has sacked director-general of National Financial Investigation Agency (NFIA), Baltasar Engonga over his involvement in a s*x scandal.
Gatekeepers News reports that a local media outlet, Real Equatorial Guinea revealed that president of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Mbasogo fired Engonga for “irregularities committed in the exercise of his functions, as well as inappropriate family and social conduct for the performance of public functions, as stated in Decree number 118/2024, dated November 4.”
Recall that over four hundred (400) s*x tapes were found during a fraud investigation against Engonga who is the current president of Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC), Baltasar Engonga Edjoo’s son.
Engonga’s house and office were searched on impromptu notice by ANIF officials who found the CDs exposing his infidelity with many married women.
His encounters with high-profile individuals, such as his brother’s wife, his cousin, sister of President of Equatorial Guinea, the Director General of Police’s wife, and about 20 of the country’s ministers’ wives, among others were recorded on the CDs.
The footages were said to be recorded with consent of the women.
