The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has officially unveiled its institutional brand identity, marking its transition from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) to the newly established national revenue authority.

Gatekeepers Newreports that the unveiling of the agency’s new logo took place in Abuja on Wednesday, according to a statement issued by Dare Adekanmbi, special adviser to the chairman of the NRS.

Speaking at the event, Executive Chairman of the NRS, Zacch Adedeji, described the rebranding as a major milestone in the evolution of Nigeria’s revenue administration framework.

Adedeji said the new identity reflects a renewed commitment to building a more unified, efficient and service-oriented revenue system, aligned with Nigeria’s economic transformation agenda and global best practices.

According to him, the transition signals continuity of purpose, enhanced institutional capacity and a forward-looking approach to supporting taxpayers and driving national development.

He added that the service remains firmly committed to transparency, partnership and service excellence.

“The unveiling of this new identity represents not an end, but the beginning of a strengthened relationship between the revenue authority and the Nigerian public — built on trust, clarity and shared prosperity,” the statement quoted him as saying.

Adekanmbi noted that the NRS formally commenced operations following the signing of its enabling law, the Nigeria Revenue Service Establishment Act 2025, by President Bola Tinubu in June.
