Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy has become the African artiste with the highest number of entries on the prestigious Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States after securing his ninth appearance on the ranking.

Gatekeepers News reports that according to reports, Burna Boy achieved the milestone with “Dai Dai,” the official song of the ongoing FIFA World Cup, recorded alongside Colombian pop star Shakira.

The track debuted at No. 75 on the latest Billboard Hot 100 chart, moving him ahead of fellow Nigerian singer Tems, who previously shared the record with him.  

The achievement also makes Burna Boy the first African artiste to chart at least one song on the Billboard Hot 100 for six consecutive years, from 2021 to 2026, highlighting his sustained success in the global music industry.  

His Billboard Hot 100 entries include “Loved By You” (2021), “Last Last” (2022), “Sittin’ On Top Of The World” (2023), “Talibans II” (2023), “Just Like Me” (2024), “We Pray” (2024), “WGFT” (2025), “Only You” (2026), and now “Dai Dai” (2026).
