A 45,000-litre diesel tanker fell off Otedola Bridge in Lagos and caught fire on Monday, triggering panic among motorists and other road users.
Gatekeepers News reports that the incident prompted an emergency response from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and other relevant agencies.
According to LASEMA, two adult men were rescued from the scene and taken to the Trauma Centre for further medical attention.
The agency said the fire had been brought under control, while dampening operations were ongoing to prevent a recurrence.
It added that the cause of the incident had yet to be established, as investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash continued.
