ATP Rankings: Nadal Slips Out Of Top Three

Rafael Nadal has dropped out of the top three in ATP rankings.

Gatekeepers News reports 20-time Grand Slam winner, Rafael Nadal has slipped out of the top three in the new ATP rankings released on Monday.

Nadal after losing to Lloyd Harris in the round of 16 at Washington found himself dropped by one place to number four with the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas seizing the opportunity to replace him at three.

Meanwhile, Italian Jannik Sinner beat the American Mackenzie McDonald in three sets at the Washington tournament, to jump nine places to 15.

The teenager who will turn 20 on August 16, climbed from 24th into the higher realms of the game’s elite.

Sinner is the youngest player to win an ATP 500 tournament since the category was created in 2009.

However, McDonald after reaching the final also enjoyed a dramatic leap from 107th to 64th.

Meanwhile, Novak Djokovic comfortably retains his number one seed after winning all three majors this year and also has his eyes firmly set on completing the sweep with another success at the US Open.

The Serb has currently spent a record of 333 weeks in the top spot, which is well ahead of Roger Federer, who managed 310 and is now down at number nine.
