JUST IN: Federal Executive Council Meeting Now To Hold Every Monday

President Bola Tinubu has approved the conduct of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) weekly meeting to be held every Monday.

Gatekeepers News reports that the weekly FEC meeting which is presided over by the president and attended by cabinet members as well as other top aides to the President, was held every Wednesday prior to the Tinubu administration.

President Bola Tinubu presided over his Second Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Monday since his inauguration as President on May 29.

During the meeting, Tinubu swore in the three newly appointed ministers who were screened on October 4, at a brief swearing-in ceremony which took place at the Council Chamber, Presidential Villa, Abuja, before the commencement of the meeting.

They include;

Jamila Bio- Ibrahim (Kwara State)- Minister of Youth,

Balarabe Lawal (Kaduna State) – Minister of Environment and;

Ayodele Olawande (Ondo State)- Minister of State For Youth.

The Ministers will now join the 45 other Ministers who were approved by the Red Chamber in August.

Following a letter by Tinubu, the Senate had no October 4 screened and confirmed the three additional ministers.

President Tinubu had, on August 21, sworn in and inaugurated 45 ministers who attended the maiden cabinet meeting at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa in Abuja on August 28 where he told FEC members including ministers to work hard, saying that the expectations of Nigerians are very high and underperformance won’t be tolerated.
