Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has raised the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) also known as petrol to N1,030 per litre at various locations in Abuja.
Gatekeepers News reports that the increment follows the company’s decision to discontinue its exclusive purchase agreement with Dangote Refinery.
NNPC terminated the agreement on Monday, allowing other marketers to purchase petrol directly from Dangote refinery.
The marketers are also free to negotiate prices directly with the Refinery.
