The House of Representatives experienced another wave of party defection on Tuesday, as lawmakers continued to realign ahead of the 2027 elections.
Gatekeepers News reports that three members including Thaddeus Attah, Usman Zubairu, and Sani Noma moved to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) from the Labour Party, APC, and PDP respectively.
In other movements, Abubakar Buba and Ibrahim Mohammed left the PDP for the APC, while Mudashiru Alani and Adetunji Olusoji crossed over from the PDP to the Accord Party.
Also, David Fuoh defected from the APC to the PDP, adding to the shifting party balance in the chamber.
The deputy speaker, Benjamin Kalu, announced the defections during plenary, where lawmakers cited internal crises in their former parties as the reason for their moves.
The House later adjourned sitting to honour Muhammad Hassan, who passed away after a period of illness.
