Former Governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko, has officially joined All Progressives Congress (APC).
Gatekeepers News reports that Mimiko was formally received into the party at Ward 7, Ondo West Local Government Area secretariat on Thursday, where he was welcomed by APC officials and party supporters.
The former Governor said his decision to join the ruling party was driven by his support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration, noting that he believes the government is making progress in key areas of national development.
According to him, initiatives such as the student loan scheme and efforts toward decentralising policing were part of the reforms he considers commendable under the current administration.
Mimiko added that while more work still needs to be done in governance, he is joining the APC to support ongoing efforts aimed at improving peace, progress, and development in the country.
