Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, has paid condolence visits to several bereaved families in the state following his return from Umrah in the Holy Land.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Governor returned to Sokoto on Thursday afternoon and visited the families to sympathise with them over the loss of their loved ones.
Among those visited was the family of the late Sir Alhaji Abubakar Alhaji, Sardaunan Sokoto, who died a few days ago.
Aliyu also visited the family of the late former Deputy Governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Ibrahim K. Aliyu, who recently passed away.
The Governor further condoled with the District Head of Wamakko, Alhaji Ahmed Barade, over the death of his daughter, Rashida.
He also visited the Sokoto State Chief Judge, Justice Sa’idu Muhammad Sifawa, to sympathise with him over the death of his wife, Hajiya Aisha.
At Kofar Taramniya, Aliyu condoled with his in-law, Alhaji Abubakar Attahiru, over the death of his younger sister, Hajiya Halima Sani, popularly known as Yar Dubu.
The Governor also visited the family of the late Umaru Ladan of Kwanar Majema, who died at the age of 55 and was survived by his wife and 10 children.
At the various condolence visits, prayers were offered for the repose of the souls of the deceased, while the Governor prayed for strength and comfort for their families.
