Ize-Iyamu Accepts APC Edo South Primary Outcome – Urges Party Members To Unite

Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has accepted the outcome of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Edo South Senatorial primary and called on party members and supporters to unite ahead of the general election.

Gatekeepers News reports that in a statement issued on Sunday, Ize-Iyamu said he accepted the decision of the party in good faith following the conclusion of the APC Edo South Senatorial primary held on May 18, 2026, where the party produced its candidate. He urged his supporters, party members and associates to also accept the outcome and remain committed to the party’s success.

He described the APC as a platform founded on service, sacrifice and discipline, stressing that individual political ambitions should not outweigh the party’s collective goal of delivering good governance.

The former governorship candidate expressed appreciation to his supporters, coordinators, volunteers, grassroots mobilisers, women, youths and other well-wishers for their loyalty, sacrifices and prayers throughout his senatorial campaign.

Ize-Iyamu also thanked Nigerians in the diaspora who supported his aspiration, assuring them of his continued commitment to the development of Edo South Senatorial District. He appealed to members to remain peaceful, reject division and continue promoting unity within the party.

According to him, the time has come for reconciliation and for party stakeholders to close ranks in preparation for future elections. He reaffirmed his commitment to working with APC leaders and members to strengthen the party, secure victory at the polls and advance the development of Edo South.

He urged party faithful to put the primary contest behind them and focus on building a stronger APC and a more prosperous Edo South, saying history would be remembered not for the contest but for what members achieve together through unity and service.
