World Cup Round-Up: Croatia Kick Canada Out Of Tournament

Croatia have kicked Canada out of the ongoing Qatar 2022 World Cup campaign after defeating them 4-1 at Khalifa International Stadium on Sunday.

Gatekeepers News reports that Alphonso Davies Canada a shocking lead at 68 seconds, netting Canada’s first World Cup goal.

However, a brace from Andrej Kramaric, a goal from Marko Livaja, and a late score from Lovro Majer gave Croatia the most impressive comeback of the tournament.

Croatia will look to book the top spot at the Group F when they play Morocco, while Canada will bow out after their game against Belgium.

Meanwhile, late goals from Abdelhamid Sabiri and Zakaria Aboukhlal have set a second spot for Morocco on the Group F table of the ongoing World Cup campaign.

An inexplicable error from Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois led to the first goal, after he allowed Sabiri’s inswinging free-kick to beat him at his near post with 17 minutes to go.

Aboukhlal on the other hand, fired Hakim Ziyech’s cutback into the roof of the net in stoppage time, sparking wild celebrations in the stands of Al Thumama Stadium from thousands of Morocco fans.
