NIPR Names AbdulRasheed Abubakar International Liaison For 2026 Global PR Forum

Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has appointed AbdulRasheed Abubakar, Chief Executive Officer of CogniRep Strategies Holding Co., as its international representative and liaison for the 2026 World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) scheduled to take place in Abuja.

Gatekeepers News reportd that the appointment was announced by NIPR President, Ike Neliaku, who said Abubakar would coordinate international engagement and mobilise participation from global stakeholders ahead of the forum, which is slated for November 15 to 21, 2026.  

In his new role, Abubakar is expected to lead outreach efforts across key international markets, particularly the United States, with the aim of attracting strategic partnerships, sponsorships and high-level participation from communication professionals, policymakers, academics and business leaders.  

According to NIPR, the appointment reflects confidence in Abubakar’s experience in corporate communications, stakeholder engagement and international advocacy, as well as his capacity to strengthen global collaboration within the public relations profession.  

Abubakar is the founder of CogniRep Strategies Holding Company and Chief Executive Officer of CABS World TV. He is also among the Nigerians recognised by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission under its Diaspora Icons initiative for making notable contributions abroad.  

He holds a Master of Arts degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University in the United States.  

Neliaku said the institute is positioning the Abuja forum as a major global gathering focused on the future of strategic communication and reputation management, adding that Abubakar’s international network and professional experience would help deepen engagement with stakeholders across the world.  

The World Public Relations Forum is expected to attract delegates from numerous countries and serve as a platform for discussions on emerging trends, innovation and best practices in public relations and strategic communications.

Organisers said the event will also showcase Nigeria and Africa’s growing influence in shaping global conversations on leadership, communication and reputation management.
