A faction of African Democratic Congress (ADC) led by David Mark has expelled key members, including Nafiu Bala and Leke Abejide, over alleged anti-party activities.
Gatekeepers News reports that the decision was taken during the party’s national convention held in Abuja, where leaders accused the affected members of actions capable of destabilising the party and creating internal divisions.
According to party officials, the expulsions followed allegations that the individuals were involved in activities that undermined party unity and attempted to cause confusion within the ADC structure.
The motion for their expulsion was reportedly moved and adopted by party delegates at the convention, signalling a firm stance by the Mark-led leadership against internal dissent.
Other members were also affected in the sweeping action, highlighting the depth of the leadership crisis currently rocking the party.
The development is the latest twist in the ADC’s ongoing internal conflict, with rival factions laying claim to leadership and control of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
