The 2022 Confederation of African Football (CAF) Awards is set to hold in Rabat, Morocco in July.
Gatekeepers News reports that CAF has announced that the ceremony will be held ahead of the final of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
There will be several categories to be presented including the Player of the Year (Men and Women).
In the last edition, Senegal’s Sadio Mane and Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala won awards.
Other categories include; Interclub Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year, National Team of the Year, Coach of the Year, Club of the Year, and Goal of the Year.
Meanwhile, the winners of the different categories will be decided by Captains and Coaches of the member associations, selected journalists, the CAF technical study group, and CAF legends.
The period under review is from September 2021 until June 2022.
The previous edition of the CAF Awards was held in 2019 at Hurghada, Egypt.
